A Catalyst is both a substance that increases the rate of a chemical reaction and a person or thing that precipitates an event. Our vision is to personify this for all of our students - helping guide them as they work to unlock their own potential.

With over 13 years experience in the tutoring industry behind us, our tailored tutoring sessions work alongside each student’s individual needs, developing a deeper understanding of core concepts as they work towards unlocking their potential.
At Catalyst Education, our core teaching philosophy revolves around understanding that each and every student is an individual and had their own unique learning style. Teaching or tutoring must reflect this. Because of this, we work hard to connect with our students and understand their personal learning style - whether they prefer to take written notes, practice through repetition, draw diagrams / flow charts, or talk through concepts verbally. By working with students in smaller classes, it allows us to precisely tailor each session to the individual, ensuring we maximise the value for the time they spend learning.
While working with each student, we push for understanding over rote learning. Anyone can learn how to follow a rule or pattern once shown, but deepening the comprehension behind why each step is taken allows for better problem solving and the ability to apply knowledge to multiple question formats.
We work hard to inspire students to connect with their subjects, allowing them to gain momentum, boost their confidence and become more engaged in the classroom.
